Today the financial gurus talk about the “Halloween Indicator” being well oriented… It means that stock prices perform always best between November 1st and May 1st.
It’s simply another name (seasonally adapted) for the “sell in May and go away” adagio. The sell in May worked particularly well this year. Let’s see if the Halloween Indicator will work as well. It’s possible that it will work, because Mario Draghi’s latest speach was such a success for the strength of the EURO, that Mrs. Yellen will think twice before rising her interest rate and thus her Dollar. She could easily wait until 2016. This would mean that the Wall Street could go higher… We should therefore maybe join in the party, enjoy the euphoria and good atmosphere, but (as some Saturday-nights) retreat in time before the party ends.
